Maximillian Katzer
General Manager
Maximillian joined Potomac in the spring of 2005. He had been employed by Independence Air at the time, as an Airframe and Powerplant mechanic. From Max's first day in the field it was apparent that his mechanical/systems mind would serve him well in repairing and troubleshooting pool equipment, just as it had fixing jet engines. His attention to detail, efficiency and problem-solving focus serve him well as General Manager. In his free time Max enjoys the cool flow of air conditioning, time with his wife Rebecca and daughter Jane, Jeeps, muscle cars, and generally anything that has a motor.
Daniel Mclaughlin
Division Director – Maryland/Great Falls/Arlington
Daniel joined Potomac in 2004. Having just endured major back surgery, it did not seem like he would be going back to his job cutting granite countertops! Although Daniel had never worked on swimming pools before, his tremendous work ethic allowed him to learn the process, all while commuting in from Winchester, VA on a daily basis. While working on swimming pools turned out to be just as taxing as countertop work, Daniel found that working with customers and employees allowed him to do what he really enjoys, which is building relationships, and helping others. Daniel is an accomplished musician, and if you happen to have a nice Hammond B-3/Leslie combo for sale, please let him know! Daniel also enjoys hunting, 4 wheeling in his jeep, training his dogs, and spending time with his wife Amanda and two children, Audrey and Blake.
Andy Moore
Division Director – Loudoun/Fairfax/Prince William
Andy joined Potomac in 2006, after becoming a foreman building sun rooms and decks with a company out of Winchester, VA. His experience with tools and outdoor work prepared him well for the swimming pool environment, and he has risen quickly through the ranks from Pool Cleaner, to Service Technician, and now to Division Director. Andy’s even demeanor and cool head helps keep us together in the busy days of spring and summer. A double p90x grad, feel free to ask him to show you an Ashtanga Sun Salutation at any time. Andy enjoys fly fishing and spending time with his wife Becky and two sons, Toby and Logan.
Brandon West
Service Manager - Loudoun/Fairfax/Prince William
Brandon joined us early in 2009, having recently moved here from Minneapolis, MN. He wore a tee shirt to his interview that read “I Love Pools”. He had the job before he even sat down. In addition to being an all around great guy, Brandon is a talented pool mechanic, avid work-worker, accomplished sound engineer/singer/vocal coach/judge (look out Randy Jackson!) and a licensed realtor as well. Brandon says he really enjoys working on pools, but he prefers to be home with his wife Andi and son Devin.
Jeremiah Holthus
Service Manager - Maryland/Great Falls/Arlington
Jeremiah was born and raised outside of Detroit, Michigan. As a teen he worked at a campground in MI, where he facilitated high adventure courses among other things. His experiences at camp forged his work ethic, and love of working outside with his hands. On an unrelated side note, he was also sporting a nice set of lamb chop sideburns by age 14. After moving to southwest FL in 2001, he met his wife, Marti and they were married in 2005. Jeremiah enjoys listening to music and playing the acoustic guitar and is learning how to build guitars. He is also bit of a walking movie encyclopedia so feel free to give him a quiz! Jeremiah and Marti have a mini schnauzer named Edgar who is goofy, lovable, and apparently, indestructible.
