Our Story
Jonathan and Melanie Broga founded Potomac Pool Service, Inc., in 2003 to provide a higher class of residential swimming pool service to the Northern Virginia, Montgomery County and Washington, DC area.
While working in the local commercial pool industry in the 1990's it became increasingly clear that the local residential market was lacking the professionalism that homeowners were expecting and deserving. Jonathan was consistently asked if he would serve residential pools, as the current providers in the area were unreliable, uninformed, and inattentive.
We began with 3 toddlers, a laptop on a small slant front desk in our bedroom, one truck, and pool chemicals in our garage. We now operate out of a large warehouse with a fleet of service vehicles, a crew of dedicated and experienced field technicians, and an administrative staff of 4. In that time, those three toddlers have grown into experienced Potomac pool technicians themselves.
Yet even as our business has grown and matured remarkably over the last 20 years, our vision to provide an unmatched level of personal and professional service has remained unchanged: we understood then as we understand now that a swimming pool is a very visible, very valuable part of your home. As a visual extension of your home, we understand the importance of ensuring that your pool is clean, safe, and inviting. As a mechanical extension of your home, we understand the necessity of ensuring that your structures and equipment are properly maintained to maximize function, safety, and longevity. We have become seasoned experts in providing that service.
We are grateful for all the wonderful relationships we have formed with our clients over these last 20 years; we have learned a tremendous amount in that time! We are looking forward to serving you for another 20 years and more!
